About TalkingTips

TalkingTips began with a simple, personal idea:

Beautiful nails should fit into real life.

Mo Zhou, the founder of TalkingTips, has always loved manicures. There is something about seeing a small, thoughtful detail on her fingertips that instantly lifts her mood and makes her feel a little more like herself.

But after becoming a mother of two, regular salon appointments became difficult to fit in. Between work, family life, school runs and everything else that cannot always be planned, spending hours at a nail salon was no longer realistic.

So she began trying press-on nails.

What she found was that many press-on nails seemed to be made for only one kind of lifestyle. Some were too long to type, cook or care for children comfortably. Some were too bold for work and everyday life. Others looked beautiful in photos but did not feel practical once real life began.

Mo was not looking for nails that only looked good on camera.

She wanted something shorter, more refined and full of thoughtful detail. Something with an artistic feel that could work with a workday, a coffee run, a dinner out, a holiday or a busy day at home.

When she could not find what she was looking for, she decided to create it herself.

Mo studied supply chain management at Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland and has a background in art, branding and content creation. These experiences shaped the way she thinks about products: good design is not only about how something looks, but also about understanding the person who will use it.

That understanding became the beginning of TalkingTips.

We focus entirely on short press-on nails, with two carefully considered shapes: Short Squoval and Short Round. They are designed to feel practical in everyday life while subtly flattering the shape of the hands.

We believe beauty should not become another task to manage.

Sometimes it is simply a few minutes for yourself. A small ritual that makes an ordinary day feel better. A quiet reminder, in the middle of a busy life, that you are still you.

TalkingTips creates considered beauty for real life.

You should not have to give up feeling polished for the sake of getting things done.
And you should not have to change the way you live to wear beautiful nails.
